The Huka Experience, the ultimate ‘must do’ activity while staying at Huka Lodge, is a combination of a scenic helicopter flight over the magnificent Kaimanawa Ranges, the World Heritage site of Tongariro National Park and a scenic boat cruise on New Zealand’s largest lake. Lake Taupo was created as a result of a volcanic eruption in 181AD and enjoys roughly the same land mass as some countries, for example Singapore.
